Use these portable, lightweight cell density Photometers to measure the growth rates of E. Coli, yeast cells and other biological agents in suspension at the 600 nm wavelength of light. Photometers measure percent transmission ( percent T), logarithmic transmission absorption (ABS), and McFarland units — Plus feature an interval meter for time-lapse recording. The 600 nm LED light focuses on the sample through fiber optic cables to obtain the readings quickly—no warm up time required. A simple touch panel provides eight separate functions and is easily wiped down in the event of spills. The fully recharged battery assembly provides 30 hours of operation; recharge time is 12 hours when the instrument is turned off and the universal AC power adapter is included. You can easily extract data for further analysis then download results directly to a PC via USB port and software. For added convenience, purchase the Spectra lax data Collection software (sold separately as part number 39459-14) to save data in Excel format.
